The Makers Coalition Foundation is leading the movement for a vibrant, revitalized cut and sew industry in America.
We are a coalition of businesses, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations and service providers coming together to build a strong cut and sew industry in America. The Makers Coalition Foundation was formed in 2011 by a group of business leaders, makers and advocates who saw a need: More and more businesses are seeking skilled local workers to produce their American-made products, but the industrial sewing workforce in the U.S. has been increasingly depleted.
The Makers Coalition sees an opportunity to promote certified training and apprenticeship for job seekers, and ultimately connect businesses dedicated to locally-made products with skilled, trained workers. Our vision is for a vibrant, revitalized sewing industry in America. Read more about us in the news.
